The town of Viterbo

This town is really ancient, in fact is thought that the city's name comes from the latin Vetus Urds that means "Old city".

Its medieval center is the biggest and the best preserved of Europe, moreover it has several archeological and thermal areas.

 

Villa Lante

In a little village not far from Viterbo arise the beautiful Villa Lante, one of the most important realisation of the italian 16th century. 

Its wonderful italian gardens, the twin buildings with frescoes inside and  spectacular fountains with water games created by artists like Gaimbologna are the flagship of this ancient villa surrounded by a charming grove of 22 hectares.

Roman theater of Ferento

The monumentale ruins, today visibile, has been discovered in the 20th century and they represent a small part of the preserva ones. In fact, it is possible to understand how much important Frento was in the past: a large street, a theater and the thermal baths while it is possible to see the medieval ruins in the sourrinding grass fields. 

Park of Monsters in Bomarzo

Villa of wonders e Sacred Wood are the other names of of this unique park of monsters in Bomarzo that was designed by the prince Vicino Orsini and the famous architect Pirro Longorio in 1552.

The Sacred Wood, was an unusual place for that period, it is presented as magica place where you can find italian gradens with water games in the fountains and strange sculptures carved out from the peperino stones, that arose from the ground.
